The association is aimed mainly at growers, wholesalers and retailers, as well as associated companies such as distributors and colleges. Interflora
The organisation of Interflora started in America in the early 19th century, when two florists agreed to telegraph one another with requests, as their own bouquets couldn't survive the four day train journey required for delivery. Thus the growth of the Interflora network began. In the UK, the first shops in the Interflora worldwide network were in Glasgow and Essex. Soon, Interflora had grown into a worldwide flower delivery network, with over 58,000 members covering more than 140 countries.
The company's UK headquarters is based in Sleaford, Lincolnshire, in the heart of the UK's prominent flower growing region. Interflora's experience, reliability and creativity, allow it to assist its membership with the development of new technology and services, which in turn benefit customers.
The website of Interflora can be found at www.interflora.co.uk.
